![]() Highly challenging both from a content and a technical point of view, this project aids the German Federal Government in achieving its climate-protection targets. Taking the form of an energy-saving club, it enables consumers to make the right energy-saving decisions. At the heart of this campaign, which is supported by the Federal Environment Ministry, is the energy-saving account, which is designed to bring more transparency in energy consumption to a potential of 38 million German households. It balances energy consumption and costs, evaluates the results, and provides personalised advice on planned investments in energy-efficiency measures. The energy-saving account can facilitate consumption projections and tendencies, and by connecting a smart meter (digital display/recording of electricity consumption) can provide live monitoring of the consumer’s electricity usage.
The energy-saving account can also be used outside of the club at external partners, opening up exciting opportunities for collaboration and cooperation.
